As it is Easter-time, we thought we would ask Lorraine O’Dwyer, expert forager, storyteller and Taste Wexford’s official tour guide to share some thoughts on Easter and why we celebrate eggs this time of the year.

The event was organised by Tourism Ireland to link Normandy and Ireland. The event highlighted the history and culture between Normandy and Ireland.

Tourism Ireland highlighted the links between Normandy and Ireland, in particular the South East. ‘Guests enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by Taste Wexford – using produce sourced from the south east – as well a performance by Cork-based band Torcán.’

As part of the Immersive Food Tourism Programme Taste Wexford invited many participants to do a tour of Waterford and Cork City.

The tour included visits to Comeragh Mountain Farm, Dungarvan Brewing Company, L’Attiude, Café Paradiso and Fab food trails tour of Cork city.

Taste Wexford and some of South Wexford’s food tourism business operators came together to experience an ‘On Your Doorstep Food Tour’. The food tour was offered to businesses who are participating in the Taste Wexford immersive training programme, to get a chance to have a tour around another business and see what their experience is and listen to their story.

Taste Wexford hosted a breakfast showcase event at Johnstown Castle with the support of Visit Wexford and Wexford Local Development through LEADER Programme 2014 - 2020, Taste Wexford hosted a Breakfast Industry Showcase with Georgina Campbell and over 50 guests.
