Dining experiences may look a bit different these days but that does not mean you can’t enjoy your favourite dish from the restaurant around the corner, or your morning coffee that no one can make like your local barista. Here at Taste Wexford, we are all about shopping local and supporting local and that sentiment has never been more important in today’s terms. You can do your bit to support local by continuing to pick up takeaway food from the many great eateries that Wexford has to offer.
To make it even easier to support local, we have created a useful guide to the cafes and restaurants across the county that are still operating within the government’s guidelines. It means that not only are you supporting a local business during these difficult times, but you can also enjoy restaurant-quality meals and freshly baked treats from the comfort of your own home.
Taste Wexford emphasises the experience side of the county’s array of food and drink offerings. This Taste Thursday, Taste Wexford has featured cafes and restaurants that include local producers on their menus and who focus on sustainability. By ordering takeaway food from these businesses, you are also supporting the local producers that supply them.
Being in the Sunny South East has spoiled us with beautiful autumnal sunshine recently, making al fresco dining an enjoyable experience. Many of the cafes and restaurants listed offer outdoor dining so you can still dine safely on the premises. Some of the businesses below also offer online vouchers which make for a great gift to someone special with the promise of catching up over a meal when it is safe to do so.
