Wexford’s local farmers and food producers, now more than ever, need our support. This pandemic is endangering family businesses that have been in our local community for such a long time, creating jobs, promoting food in Wexford and delivering to the local economy. Thus, supporting local businesses and local producers has never been so important.
We are proud to say highlight how quickly so many of the Wexford producers are adapting and now offering their products online and safely deliver to your door or set collection points. Some of them sell online on their own brand websites, many offer their products through the new platform and Neighbourfood and most are listed on the Taste Wexford website for quick access to see what’s available online across County Wexford.
The more money spent directly with small local businesses rather than big chains will help your community bounce back to full recovery. Small companies spend the money you give them with other businesses within their local community.

Leigh started making chocolates from her kitchen in 2013. At that stage, it was much more of a hobby. She soon realised that this was a business opportunity and seized the day. The name Zaeire comes from the coming together of South Africa (ZA), Leigh’s homeland and Ireland (EIRE), her husband’s homeland. As she says, “it is the story of my husband and I”.
